Boy Scout Cabin
on The Green

HUDSON, OHIO, USA

Located prominently on Hudson’s historic Village Green, this beloved log cabin has served as the home of the local Boy Scout troop since its construction in 1931. Peninsula Architects led the careful preservation and rehabilitation of the structure, working closely with local craftsmen to replace deteriorated original logs while maintaining the building’s historic character and handcrafted identity. The project also included replacement of the failing roof structure and upgrades to the HVAC and lighting systems.

While serving year-round as a gathering place for scouting activities, the cabin holds a special place in the broader community—transforming each holiday season into the center of the Scouts’ annual Christmas tree sale and a cherished Hudson tradition. The project preserved not simply a historic structure, but an enduring community landmark.
