The Urban Barn

VALLEY CITY, OHIO, USA

This utilitarian structure is a sculptural modern take on the traditional pole barn. It is clad with translucent polycarbonate and rhythmic vertical battens which create a glowing feature at night and a bright workspace during the day. As a replacement for a preexisting barn, it evolved into more than equipment storage and is now enjoyed as a space to process honey, craft with stained glass, and entertain family and friends.
